Description
The Monitor Technician continuously surveils telemetry monitors, interprets and documents patient cardiac rhythms, identifies and escalates arrhythmias, maintains accurate lead placement and equipment configuration, troubleshoots monitoring equipment, and coordinates with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff to support patient safety. The role requires completion of a telemetry or EKG interpretation course during orientation, 0–2 years of clerical or clinical medical-setting experience, and Basic Life Support certification.
