Description
The Real Estate Loan Underwriter at LAFCU underwrites, approves, denies, or counteroffers real estate loans; processes applications in mortgage software; evaluates loans for FNMA and FHLMC secondary-market sale; conducts closings, funding, and post-funding procedures; maintains documentation; and provides member service. The role is full-time and may be assigned to an employee's location or a hybrid work model. Candidates need two to five years of real estate loan underwriting experience, three years of secondary-market loan-processing experience, prequalification experience, knowledge of real estate lending regulations, and PC-based loan-processing software experience. The position requires mortgage loan originator registration under the SAFE Act and offers a California base salary of $33.82 to $51.40 per hour.
