Description
Harris County Public Health is hiring a full-time Mosquito Control Inspector to conduct field inspections of mosquito breeding sites, sample and map adult and larval populations, perform pesticide applications and ULV treatments, monitor environmental data, maintain vehicles and equipment, and provide public education. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of pest management, biology fieldwork, or environmental monitoring experience, a Texas driver's license, and a Texas Certified Pesticide Noncommercial Political Applicator’s License within one year. It is based in Houston and requires field work, night, weekend, and holiday availability, and the ability to lift 70 pounds and work outdoors in hot and humid conditions.
