McWane Plant & Industrial is hiring a General Worker for its Job Shop Fabrication and Machining operation in Birmingham, Alabama. The role supports plant operations by assisting with machinery, cutting ductile iron pipe, lifting materials, painting products, inspecting and counting finished goods, loading and unloading equipment, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. The position requires physical work in dust and fumes, the ability to operate a forklift, and overtime or extended hours as needed. Starting pay is $19.17 per hour, with a top rate of $21.36 per hour and a 24-month wage progression.
