Description
The MRI Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging, conducts patient safety screenings, positions patients, starts intravenous lines, administers contrast media, evaluates image quality, and supports patient transport and MRI-unit maintenance. The role also communicates with patients, staff, and radiologists, coordinates scheduling and patient flow, and may train new technologists or patient coordinators. A high school diploma or equivalent, an associate’s degree or equivalent experience, active ARRT certification, and active Basic Life Support certification are required; 1–2 years of MRI experience is preferred.
