Description
The MS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer reports to the MS Hosting Engineering Senior Manager and is responsible for releasing new cloud and hosting products and features, configuring infrastructure from architecture blueprints, and supporting hardware and software solutions for private and public cloud services. The role includes infrastructure upgrades, hardware evaluation and testing, vendor CVE analysis, operational escalations, bug tracking, audit support, and coaching junior engineers. Candidates need advanced knowledge of at least three technologies from a listed set, including virtualization, storage, backup, switching, automation, x86 hardware, and operating systems; public cloud, orchestration, and infrastructure automation expertise are desirable. The position is remote.
