Description
The MSU Field Technician supports the Technology Services Division by installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mobile surveillance units and related wiring and system components. The role includes site tours, work-order completion, material and tool coordination, safety and operational support, and travel as needed. It requires a high school diploma or GED, low-voltage troubleshooting experience, a valid driver’s license, proficiency with hand and power tools and a multimeter, the ability to climb ladders and lift up to 100 pounds, and Alarm Tech Level 1 certification or the ability to obtain it within the first year. The position pays $23 per hour and requires day shifts Monday through Friday, with possible overtime, weekend work, and schedule changes.
