Description
The Welding Operator sets up and operates welding workstations, positions and aligns components, welds fabricated, cast, and stamped components into tanks and pressure vessels, performs first-article and ongoing quality inspections, operates lifting devices, and follows safety, environmental, and machine shutdown procedures. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, one year of related experience or training, the ability to read blueprints and safety documents, completion of in-house training, and successful completion of the employer’s weld certification requirements.
