Description
The Multi-Modality Technologist performs two imaging modalities, such as X-ray, CT, MRI, or ultrasound, and operates equipment, selects imaging sequences, obtains clinical histories, verifies patients, and provides radiation and other protection. The role may also perform venipuncture, prepare and administer contrast or medications, use a power injector, and work on-call. Required certifications include ARRT, RDMS, or CNMT, with additional modality certifications required within 12 months; an associate degree and one year of healthcare experience are preferred.
