Description
The Blacksmith Production Operator observes safety rules, maintains a clean work area, and receives daily communication from the Blacksmith Production Manager. The role operates overhead cranes, mobile equipment, manipulators, forklifts, skid steers, and long-reach equipment; inspects and records forged parts; handles, identifies, and transfers raw, work-in-process, and finished material; performs dimensional and post-forge heat-treat operations; assists with dies, tools, inventory, shipping, and waste; and maintains equipment. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and expects the operator to become proficient in each forge crew position and participate in on-call weekends.
