Description

The Navy electrical journeyman installs, modifies, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and tests electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, controls, and equipment in the Maintenance Division of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department in the Navy Region Southwest. The role requires interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings; installing distribution panels, conduits, relays, transformers, and other electrical devices; and completing repairs with minimal technical advice. Candidates must demonstrate journeyman-level electrical knowledge, knowledge of the National Electrical Code, and the ability to work with single- and multiple-phase alternating-current systems. The position also requires successful E-Verify and federal suitability background investigation.
