Description
MANTECH is hiring a full-time Naval Architect to support Military Sealift Command maritime engineering and design efforts. The role is fully remote from Virginia with occasional travel to Chesapeake or Norfolk for client meetings and events. Responsibilities include managing structural form, strength, stability, and performance of marine structures and waterborne vessels; conducting structural, finite-element, rigging, cargo-handling, hydrostatic, stability, mooring, material, weld, connection, and vibration analyses; and providing engineering oversight for various ship classes and expeditionary vessels. The position requires a master's degree in a relevant engineering field, at least seven years of specialized-vessel experience, active Secret clearance, and the ability to remain stationary 50% of the time. Compensation is projected at $70,200 to $117,000, with health insurance and other benefits available.
