Description

Booz Allen is hiring a Naval Engineer, Mid to support a future Unmanned Surface Vessel program as a junior engineer and acquisitions specialist. The role reviews vendor drawings, calculations, and specifications; tracks vendor progress through the ABS classification process; synthesizes technical summaries; and may serve as the technical director’s primary contact at shipyards. The position is hybrid, requires a Secret clearance, and offers an annualized compensation range of $55,200 to $126,000.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Naval Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering
Required Previous Experiences: 3+ years of experience in naval architecture or engineering working on ocean-going vessel design or construction
3+ years of experience translating complex technical information into summaries for non-technical senior leaders
3+ years of experience using Microsoft Products, including Project, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ABS rules and standards
Experience working in a commercial shipyard
Experience with autonomous vessels
Project Management Professional certification
