The UL Certification and Testing Technician performs performance testing, safety and non-safety certification inspections, weld inspections, and operational testing of fire apparatus, pumps, electrical systems, aerial ladders, and platforms. The role evaluates test results against UL requirements, audits manufacturer quality programs, documents findings, and coordinates with manufacturers, customers, and authorities. It is based in the Appleton, Wisconsin area, requires independent technical judgment and client-facing skills, and offers a $65,000–$75,000 base salary plus bonus and health benefits.
