Description
Amazon’s Core Platform team is hiring a Network Development Engineer to design, develop, and automate scalable network solutions for its global fulfillment and transportation infrastructure. The role partners with software, operations, and engineering teams; defines and measures network availability; troubleshoots complex customer impacts; automates infrastructure testing, deployment, operations, and lifecycle management; and contributes to global 24x7 escalation coverage. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, at least 8 years of IP networking and routing experience, major network operating-system experience, and 3+ years of Unix/Linux and scripting experience. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, expert certifications, and advanced network automation skills. The role is based in Austin, Texas, with a base salary of 159,100 to 215,300 USD annually.
