AWS is hiring a Network Development Engineer for its Internet Edge team to deploy, scale, automate, and sustain network infrastructure across global data centers and network fabrics supporting retail, Kindle, payments, and other AWS services. The role focuses on routing, traffic engineering, peering, network standards, configuration deployment, automation, and customer-facing problem resolution, with travel to data center and customer sites as needed. Candidates need at least four years of major internet routing protocol experience and four years of Linux/Unix experience; Python, Bash, Shell, or Perl automation scripting is preferred. The position is based in Seattle, Washington, with a base salary of $136,000 to $184,000 annually.
