Description
The Network Engineer will co-design, implement, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a county-wide data and voice network, including LANs, WANs, VLANs, S2S VPNs, switches, routers, wireless infrastructure, firewalls, NAC, QoS, and VoIP systems. The role also manages network projects, inventories, security, documentation, and provides orientation to new staff, with evening and weekend availability and local travel as needed. Candidates need considerable enterprise network experience, at least five years of relevant IT experience, three years of network infrastructure experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license and background investigation; a bachelor’s degree in a related field and Cisco or CompTIA networking credentials are preferred.
