Downer Professional Services is hiring a Network Engineer in Canberra to design and integrate secure enterprise networks for Defence and national security projects. The role covers network boundaries, terrestrial backhaul, routing, addressing, security controls, hosting dependencies, service connectivity, and the integration of space, ground, control, terminal, commercial, and partner-provided capabilities with Defence ICT environments. Candidates need experience designing secure enterprise networks, coordinating integration across multiple organisations, defining network architectures and security requirements, and assessing performance, availability, resilience, capacity, and service assurance. A current Commonwealth security clearance and possible ITAR compliance are required.
