Description

Base is hiring a Network Engineer to own the end-to-end network architecture for its Distributed Compute fleet, including site connectivity, backhaul, overlay networks, routing, switching, firewalling, and automation. The role leads fiber and carrier strategy, manages circuits and failover across fiber, fixed wireless, and cellular, and operates secure site-to-site and site-to-cloud connectivity for inference workloads. It also involves instrumenting and securing the network, supporting first-site installations, and reducing on-site involvement as processes mature. The position requires at least five years of production-network experience, hands-on routing and switching expertise, experience with large-scale site-to-site connectivity, fiber and carrier-circuit knowledge, and comfort working in utility territories.
