Description
Molex is hiring a Network Engineer - Optical for its Network Operations team in Bridgewater, New Jersey or Fremont, California, with remote eligibility. The role covers the design, configuration, deployment, migration, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of large-scale optical transport, backbone, metro, regional, and long-haul networks, including DWDM, CWDM, ROADM, OTN, SONET/SDH, and Ethernet over fiber. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field, at least five years of live network deployment and operations experience, and experience with optical technologies, field environments, network management tools, and Python or Ansible automation. The role requires travel as needed, possibly up to 50%, and offers $150,000–$180,000 annually plus variable pay.
