Google is hiring a Network Implementation Engineer to deploy, maintain, and operate private data networks worldwide. The role diagnoses and repairs Layer 1 through Layer 3 network outages, develops optical and IP troubleshooting workflows, supports 24/7 global shift rotations, provides remote field-support coordination, and communicates repair status to customers. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in network or telecommunications engineering or equivalent practical experience, at least two years of telecommunications experience with optical infrastructure and transmission systems, and experience with Unix/Linux administration, scripting, and IP and optical network operations.
