Description

Volta is hiring a Network Automation Engineer to build and operate software that models large GPU compute fabrics, generates device configuration, simulates topology changes, validates network deployments, detects configuration drift, and automates site bring-up. The role requires production Python or Go, network fundamentals, configuration-as-code, network simulation, and experience at scale across thousands of endpoints and hundreds of devices.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 4+ years of experience in network automation, infrastructure software, or network engineering with a substantial software component
Experience extending network source-of-truth models such as NetBox or Nautobot
Hands-on experience with network simulation or emulation
Preferred Qualifications: AI-assisted development and agent-assisted workflows
Configuration analysis or formal verification tooling
NVIDIA Air, SONiC, or Cumulus lab environments
gNMI, OpenConfig, or NETCONF/YANG
GPU fabric exposure
Go or Rust
Graph-based topology modeling
Kubernetes operators or controller patterns
