Amazon is hiring a Network Operations Engineer to support the day-to-day operations, stability, scaling, troubleshooting, change management, and automation of its global retail and web services network and AWS datacenter core networks. The role includes capacity planning, alarm response, routing and interconnectivity troubleshooting, vendor and ISP collaboration, safe change execution, documentation, and automation opportunities. Candidates need at least five years of major internet routing protocol experience and three years of automation scripting experience using Python, Bash, Shell, and/or Perl. The position is based in Arlington, Virginia, with a base salary of 159,100 to 215,300 USD annually.
