Description
The Network Operations Technician provides on-site Tier 2 support for legacy NIPR and SIPR Base Area Network infrastructure at an Air National Guard installation in Middle River, Maryland. The role includes fielding, troubleshooting, configuring, monitoring, patching, and repairing network equipment and telecommunications infrastructure; responding to IT service tickets; performing inside-plant and outside-plant troubleshooting; and supporting change management and configuration control. The position requires at least seven years of experience in telecommunications systems, network operations, or a related field, CompTIA Security+ certification on day one, CompTIA A+ certification within 60 days, and a DoD Secret security clearance. It is a fully onsite contract role paying $33.00 per hour, with benefits available to eligible employees.
