Description
The Neurodiagnostic Technologist performs neurodiagnostic studies such as EEG recordings, evoked potentials, nerve conduction studies, long-term monitoring, Wada studies, intra-operative monitoring, brain mapping, and ambulatory EEG monitoring. The role also handles billing, report faxing, database archiving, and database management, and may assist in training technical personnel. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, an electro-neurodiagnostic technology program or related associate degree, BLS certification, and either two years of progressively responsible neurodiagnostic experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience; hospital experience and neurodiagnostic certification are preferred.
