Samtec is hiring a permanent New Product Design Engineer in Kanagawa, Japan, to design connector solutions for board, cable, power, high-speed, and panel-mount products. The role involves identifying problems during new product development, maintaining engineering documentation and simulation standards, performing engineering cost analyses, and collaborating with marketing, sales, purchasing, quality, manufacturing, testing, process, electroplating, supplier, and other teams. Candidates need at least two years of connector design or manufacturing experience, experience with plastic injection molding and progressive die stamping, proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD, English proficiency, and the ability to work in a global environment.
