Immigrant Services Calgary is hiring a casual Newcomer Language Specialist in Medicine Hat, Alberta, reporting to the CLARC Team Lead. The role administers Canadian Language Benchmarks or NCLC language assessments, conducts needs and educational assessments, provides referrals and educational planning, maintains client records, and supports workshops and professional development. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada, have a relevant undergraduate degree, complete TESL training with at least 100 hours of practicum, and have at least 300 hours of adult language teaching experience in Canada within the past two years. The position requires Monday-Friday availability during business hours for the three-week training period and may involve travel to satellite locations.
