Description
The Next Step Intern program is an intensive, full-time, eight-week vocational training and on-the-job experience program for individuals entering the homeless services field. Interns will support day-to-day shelter operations in the Bronx, Brooklyn, or Manhattan and may be assigned to Residential Aide, Front Desk Attendant, Custodian, or Rehabilitation Aide roles. The program requires a high school diploma or GED, interest in working with the homeless population, current unemployment, and availability for flexible scheduling; compensation is $17 per hour.
