Description
The Noon Duty Assistant supports a school by supervising students in non-instructional areas such as cafeterias, hallways, playgrounds, buses, and street-crossing areas; enforcing safety, security, and discipline; coordinating activities; maintaining records; and safeguarding students. The role requires sufficient training and experience, knowledge of school safety and student behavior management, and the ability to communicate effectively and work outdoors in variable weather. New employees are placed at Step 1 of the official salary range, while candidates with a valid California teaching credential or a bachelor's degree and CBEST pass may be placed at Step 6.
