Description
The NPI Engineer leads new crystal components, optical elements, and photonic subassemblies from concept through production release, supporting external customer programs and accelerating time-to-market. The role serves as the technical interface among customers, engineering, and manufacturing teams; evaluates prototype feasibility, manufacturability, and scalability; develops product documentation; coordinates cross-functional activities; ensures manufacturing readiness; and manages project metrics, dashboards, and lifecycle risks. The position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, materials science, or a related technical discipline, along with 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, 3 years with a master's degree, or a related Ph.D., plus experience in photonics, laser systems, nonlinear optics, optical materials, and project management.
