Description
The National Service Officer Apprentice is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week trainee role that prepares individuals to represent veterans and their families in disability claims and other benefits before the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and other government entities. The apprentice receives on-the-job training, studies veterans-benefits laws and regulations, reviews service and medical records, prepares claim submissions, monitors claim progress, advises claimants on appeals, and practices representing claimants before military and VA hearing panels. The position is supervised by a Supervisory National Service Officer, requires nationwide availability for potential relocation, and offers a salary of $20.18 to $31.39 per hour.
