Description
The National Service Officer Apprentice is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week entry-level role training veterans and their families to pursue disability claims and other benefits from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and other government entities. The apprentice learns to interview claimants, review service and medical records, assess claim validity, prepare submissions, monitor claim progress, advise on appeals, and represent claimants before military and VA hearing panels. The position is supervised by a National Service Officer, requires nationwide availability for training and possible relocation, and offers a salary of $20.18 to $31.39 per hour.
