Description
The National Service Officer Apprentice is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week trainee role that prepares individuals to represent veterans and their families in disability claims and other benefits before the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and other government entities. The position includes on-the-job training, claim research, interviews, evidence assessment, submission preparation, claim monitoring, appeals advice, and representation before military and VA hearing panels. It is supervised by a Supervisory National Service Officer, requires a high school diploma or equivalent, DAV membership in good standing, and eligibility for the DAV on-the-job training program, with nationwide relocation possible.
