Description

Global Engineering & Technology is hiring a full-time ConOps/Readiness Subject Matter Expert to support the Sandia National Laboratories Environmental Safety & Health Planning Department. The role is 100% onsite at Sandia’s Albuquerque facility, with local travel to Kirtland Air Force Base and occasional travel to Livermore, California, or other remote sites. Applicants must be United States citizens, hold a current DOD Top Secret or DOE Q security clearance, and meet specified science or engineering education and ES&H experience requirements. The position pays $155,000–$170,000 annually and includes medical, dental, disability, life, AD&D, and 401(k) benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: PhD, MS, or BS in science or engineering, with the corresponding ES&H experience requirement; alternatively, 10+ years of ES&H-related experience.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 2 years of ES&H-related experience for PhD applicants
At least 4 years of ES&H-related experience for MS applicants
At least 6 years of ES&H-related experience for BS applicants
10+ years of ES&H-related experience
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of DOE O 420.1 Facility Safety
Unreviewed Safety Question process for nuclear facilities
Independent Verification Review of Safety Basis
ConOps training, such as FOO-200
QA assistance, including MSA or Lead Assessor
