Description
The Nurse Assistant provides direct basic nursing care to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including grooming, hygiene, feeding, mobility, continence, sleep, nutrition, and assistance with activities of daily living. The role also maintains resident and facility cleanliness, communicates with residents and families, monitors changes in residents’ conditions, and follows safe body-mechanics and transfer procedures. It requires Oregon Nurse Assistant certification, current CPR or BLS certification, a valid Oregon Food Handler Card, and regular on-campus work; high school education and 1–3 years of nursing assistant experience are preferred.
