Description
The Nurse Educator serves as the primary educator for clinical staff across the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center, developing and delivering role-based and program-specific training on clinical practice, electronic health record systems, documentation, equipment, and compliance. The role coordinates orientation, competency assessments, continuing education, simulation-lab activities, remedial training, and ongoing support for new hires and system upgrades, while collaborating with leadership, Electronic Health Records, and Organizational Development teams. It requires a minimum of five years of hospital or ambulatory-facility experience, an active Illinois Registered Nurse license, knowledge of electronic health records, and CPR and Crisis Prevention Institute trainer certifications within six months of hire.
