Description

Thurston County Public Health & Social Services is recruiting a Nurse Manager for its Disease Control & Prevention Division in Olympia, Washington. The role leads approximately 10 staff, oversees public health nursing programs, budgets, grants, contracts, compliance, clinical guidance, case investigations, and community partnerships, and provides on-call support during emergencies. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with potential alternative or compressed schedules and/or remote working, and pays $7,891–$10,379 monthly.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related advanced nursing education
Required Previous Experiences: Five years of professional environmental work, including budget preparation and program planning and implementation
At least two years of supervisory experience with nursing staff
Preferred Qualifications: Two years of public health nursing experience
Experience establishing relationships with community stakeholders, colleagues, elected officials, and boards
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Numerical and fiscal oversight aptitude
