Description
The Nurse Practitioner will provide advanced primary and specialty psychiatric care in a facility, including psychiatric evaluations, mental status and pharmacological assessments, medication prescribing and monitoring, injectable medication administration, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and coordination with physicians, therapists, and other care teams. The role requires active New York State Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse licenses, NPI and DEA registration, a DATA 2000 Waiver, an accredited master’s degree in nursing or a related field, infection control and basic life support certifications, and board certification by ANCC or AANP; three years of practical experience and Spanish fluency are preferred.
