Description
The Nurse Practitioner will provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management, crisis assessment and intervention, symptom assessment and management, individual counseling and psychotherapy, and prescription, administration, monitoring, and documentation of medications. The role serves youth and adult populations, with a primary focus on youth consumers, and includes treatment planning, care coordination, medical record completion, reporting, and emergency response. Required qualifications include a master’s degree, an active District of Columbia Nurse Practitioner license, and an active DEA license; electronic health records, clinical and interpersonal skills, and knowledge of evidence-based mental health practices are also required.
