Description
The Nurse Practitioner conducts comprehensive patient assessments, reviews medical history and physical examinations, interprets diagnostic tests, documents encounters, advises patients on preventative care, ensures test quality, refers patients for further testing, and relays information between clinics and physicians. The role requires an MSN or DNP, national certification, state NP licensure, adult and geriatric patient experience, strong clinical and communication skills, knowledge of diagnostic procedures, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
