Description

This position involves assessing, diagnosing, planning, and implementing medical care for patients under the guidance of a physician. The nurse practitioner will coordinate and deliver nursing care, educate patients and families, and ensure smooth transitions of care. They will develop and implement interdisciplinary care plans considering various patient factors like psychology, sociology, spirituality, economics, and lifestyle. Collaboration with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals is essential, adhering to hospital policies, industry standards, and legal requirements. Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Experience as nurse practitioner
Preferred Qualifications: General knowledge and competence with regard to advanced nursing theories, concepts and practices; medical terminology; anatomy; and physiology.
Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations.
Written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
Basic knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook), Electronic Health Record.
Ability to prioritize and delegate assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently, as well as be part of a team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
Ensures the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI).
Builds collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
