Description
Thundermist Health Center is hiring a part-time Nurse Practitioner to provide autonomous, licensed walk-in and same-day medical care in an ambulatory setting. The role includes evaluating and treating acute illness and injury, performing point-of-care testing and minor procedures, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, triaging patients, coordinating follow-up, maintaining records, and mentoring nurse practitioner students. The position requires active Rhode Island RN and NP licensure, ANA certification in a specified specialty, ongoing continuing education, strong communication skills, and a commitment to health equity and community health. It is scheduled for 20 hours per week across Woonsocket, West Warwick, and South Kingstown, with Monday–Friday and weekend coverage.
