The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner provides advanced primary care for high-risk newborns in the Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Regions Hospital. The role manages 24-hour, seven-day patient care, including assessments, diagnoses, prescriptions, laboratory and imaging interpretation, therapeutic procedures, care coordination, discharge planning, and family communication. The practitioner also supports staff education, quality improvement, research, and outreach, and participates in high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation. The position requires a graduate of an accredited nursing school, completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner/Clinician program, a master’s degree in nursing, at least two years of experience including Neonatal Nurse Practitioner experience in a Level III NICU, a Minnesota nursing license, and NCC Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification.
