Description
SightMD is hiring a Nursing Assistant to support patients undergoing ophthalmic surgical procedures in a high-volume ambulatory surgery center. The role assists with preoperative preparation, hygiene, mobility, vital-sign monitoring, operating-room turnover, specimen and equipment transport, and post-anesthesia recovery under RN or LPN supervision. It also includes documentation, infection-control compliance, patient privacy, and orientation of new Nursing Assistants. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least six months of healthcare or patient-care experience, and basic patient-care and communication skills; a New York State Certified Nursing Assistant certificate is preferred. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with hourly pay of $18.00 and medical, dental, and vision insurance among the benefits.
