Stony Brook Medicine is hiring a Nursing Assistant to provide empathic, direct patient care under RN supervision in a clinical facility. Duties include dressing changes, enemas, douches, irrigations, vital-sign monitoring, documentation, assistance with daily living activities, feeding, bathing, dressing, and related housekeeping. The role requires the ability to acquire necessary knowledge and skills during probation, with NYS certification or an approved training program, one year of patient-care experience, and a high school diploma or GED preferred. The position may require respiratory protection, and applicants must complete a physical examination, medical clearance, reference check, and drug screen.
