Description
The Nursing Attendant provides selected patient-care treatments and tasks in a 24-bed Critical Care Unit under the delegation of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities include completing activities of daily living, applying electrodes and attaching patients to monitors, performing 12-lead EKGs, responding to patient calls and emergencies, transporting medications, assisting with equipment and postmortem care, and supporting new personnel. The role is part-time at 48 hours biweekly, with 12-hour day shifts from 6:00 to 6:00 and every third weekend, and requires BLS certification plus prior Nursing Attendant, Nurse Aide, or nursing training experience.
