Description
The Nutritionist provides comprehensive nutrition assessment and consultation for outpatients, supports heart-failure and frailty programs, develops individualized nutrition plans, and addresses sodium and fluid management, protein adequacy, cachexia, malnutrition risk, electrolyte coordination, food insecurity, and steroid-related dysglycemia. The role also supports pre- and post-surgical care, dietary guidance for food allergies and intolerances, lifestyle-change support, interdisciplinary case conferencing, community and staff education, and coordination with the Retail area. It is a full-time, regular, exempt position requiring at least five years of recent relevant experience, a bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field or equivalent experience, and BLS certification; the role is onsite at the Sutter Innovation Center at least two days per week.
