Description

AppGate is seeking a Senior/Staff/Principal-level Observability Engineer to design and implement the end-to-end observability fabric. This role involves owning the entire process from telemetry SDKs to customer-side integrations, making foundational technical decisions like transport protocols and schema design. The engineer will contribute to enabling next-generation capabilities such as OpenTelemetry-Native Telemetry Fabric, High-Cardinality Data Pipeline, End-to-End Distributed Tracing, On-Demand Packet Capture, AI-Ready Foundation, and Architecting the Observability Platform.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years of engineering experience
at least 4 years dedicated to observability, telemetry, or large-scale data infrastructure
Distributed tracing in production
High-throughput pipeline experience
Preferred Qualifications: Production Go and/or Rust preferred.
Prior ZTNA, SASE, or SD-WAN experience is a strong plus.
