Description
AppGate is seeking a Senior/Staff/Principal-level Observability Engineer to design and implement the end-to-end observability fabric. This role involves owning the entire process from telemetry SDKs to customer-side integrations, making foundational technical decisions like transport protocols and schema design. The engineer will contribute to enabling next-generation capabilities such as OpenTelemetry-Native Telemetry Fabric, High-Cardinality Data Pipeline, End-to-End Distributed Tracing, On-Demand Packet Capture, and an AI-ready foundation. Key responsibilities include architecting the observability platform, building telemetry SDKs and log forwarders, validating at customer scale, driving integration standards, raising the engineering bar, and collaborating cross-functionally.
