Description
The Aerostat Operator will participate in the hands-on operation of an ISR aerostat system, including launch, in-flight, recovery, and moored activities. The role operates the aerostat, Mobile Mooring Platform, sensor payloads, communications and navigation systems, and associated support equipment. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, formal technical training, and the ability to work and live on U.S. military bases or remote overseas sites. Level 1 candidates must have at least one background in electronic maintenance, ISR, information technology, or mechanical maintenance; Level 2 candidates must have 3–4 years of Level 1 experience and at least 2 years of aerostat experience.
